When buying premium vintage wine, the first place you'd think of buying a bottle is anywhere but a gas station convenience store. However, times have changed and 7-Eleven is now the place to go when you are looking for a delicious wine. The newest wine, Voyager Point, is the new private label wine owned by 7-eleven inc., and it's downright good.

The new varieties include a Cabernet Sauvignon and a Red Blend from California. And in the white department, a Sauvignon Blanc from the Marlborough region of New Zealand will please any white wine lover. In fact when tested alongside popular brands of wine in the same variety, testers preferred the Voyager Point wine.
The new wines are grown in regions known for their winemaking traditions and each flavor profile of the wine can attest to it. Here are the flavor profiles of the wine according to Voyager Point:
- Cabernet Sauvignon is a bold and expressive wine cultivated in the idyllic sun-soaked vineyards of California. It has vibrant notes of ripe, dark fruits such as blackberries, plums and cherries.
- Red Blend has a smooth, balanced flavor profile with rich, complex tones of dark cherries, chocolate and vanilla. This combination of Merlot, Zinfandel and Petite Sirah hails from west coast locales for an authentic Californian wine-drinking experience.
- Sauvignon Blanc is a crisp white wine from Marlborough, New Zealand, in the South Pacific. With tantalizing aromas of citrus zest, this refreshing wine has vibrant notes of Key limes and Meyer lemons.
"More and more wine-drinkers are willing to pay a few extra dollars to move up to higher quality, higher price point wines," said Tim Cogil, 7-Eleven senior director of private brands. "We need to have options for our wine-drinking customers when they decide to trade up - one that is better quality than the top national brands and at a better price."
This wine isn't the only wine that 7-Eleven owns. The brand also owns Trojan Horse wines which are a chardonnay and pinot grigio. The Trojan Horse Chardonnay is described as having an aroma of ripe pear and stone fruit with balanced oak notes of vanilla. The fruit flavors are complemented with hints of caramel and toasted oak. The Trojan Horse Pinot Grigio is filled with a bright citrus and green apple aroma and a crisp and clean finish.
The suggested retail price of the wine is only $9.99 for a 750 ml bottle, which is a steal for premium wine and $6.99 for the Trojan brand. With affordable prices like this, how can you say no to trying out this wine?
