Lee Ann Womack, "All the Trouble"
Lee Ann Womack has released some of the best country albums of the last decade, so we couldn't be more excited to hear new music from the traditionalist. "All the Trouble," the first single from Womack's upcoming album The Lonely, The Lonesome and The Gone, is a soaring track soaked in soulful East Texas blues.
David Rawlings, "Midnight Train"
David Rawlings earned recognition as the musical partner of Gillian Welch, but on his new album, Poor David's Almanack, Rawlings takes center stage with an album of rich Americana songs that feel timeless. Welch lends her high lonesome voice on "Midnight Train," a shuffling, string-laden folk song.
Brandy Clark, "You're Drunk"
If you're ever in need of a clever comeback, Brandy Clark is a good one to have in your corner. On the irresistibly fun "You're Drunk," Clark takes on an ex who just can't take a hint that it's over.
Becca Mancari, "Arizona Fire"
Becca Mancari, an emerging voice from Nashville's Americana scene, is gearing up to release her new album Good Woman (out Oct. 6 on her label Sunshine and Happiness). The album's first single, the gorgeous and dreamlike "Arizona Fire," sounds like a night spent in a lonely hotel room somewhere in the Arizona desert.
Bruce Robison, "Rock and Roll Honky Tonk Ramblin' Man"
Bruce Robison is one of country music's finest songwriters. But the Bandera, Texas-native is also an accomplished solo artist who's released several incredible albums of his own songs. His latest record, Bruce Robison and the Back Porch Band, is a return to his early dance hall days. "Rock and Roll Honky Tonk Ramblin' Man," a rollicking tribute to those who just can't settle down, belongs on the jukebox in every Texas honky tonk.
David Ramirez, "Time"
David Ramirez blurs the lines between country and folk for music that's altogether his own. The Texas native brings '80s synth to the Americana scene on his newly released single "Time," from his forthcoming album We're Not Going Anywhere. The song ruminates on the passage of time and the sometimes lonely ways in which we fill our days. Ramirez is among the lineup for the 2017 AmericanaFest in Nashville.
