Whether you're obsessing over her line at Walmart or dreaming of meeting her on book tour, there's no doubt that Ree Drummond has become a staple in pop culture in the last few years. Her down-home, laid-back attitude has made fans feel at home with her on their television screens and computer monitors as her Food Network show and her blog have quite literally inspired a new generation of American cooks who make the most of what they have. However, there's something you might not know about the Drummonds.

As it turns out, Ree Drummond, the Pioneer Woman, and her husband's family once owned over 433,000 acres of land that they ranch on, according to Showbiz Cheatsheet. That's about half the size of the state of Rhode Island. We reached out to the Drummond Ranch to get a proper estimate of where they stand today and will update you when the information becomes available.

The Drummond family has owned the land since the 1800s. According to the Oklahoma Historical Society, the Osage county ranch dates back to 1886, when Frederick Drummond (1864-1913) came to the former Osage Nation at the age of 22. With his wife Addie Gentner, the couple opened up Hominy Trading Company in 1903, once noted as the nation's largest dealer of Pendleton blankets.

All of the couple's sons went on to ranching and "by the 1980s the brothers and their descendants managed more than two hundred thousand acres in Oklahoma and southern Kansas."

Today Drummond Ranch is not pinpointed in one single location, but rather a network of ranches in Oklahoma. Ladd Drummond's ranch, which is included in the network, was established in 1991 and then in 2006 according to Dun & Bradstreet. Three Drummond Ranches pop up on the search, including Drummond Land & Cattle Co, Ladd Drummond, and Fredrick F Drummond which is estimated to earn $1 million a year in sales revenue.
