Strawberry Stuffed French Toast
Wake up with this delicious Strawberry Stuffed French Toast. Loaded with cream cheese and strawberry jam and topped with powdered sugar.
Ingredients
For the Filling
- 1 8-oz package cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup strawberry jam
- 1/2 cup sliced strawberries
For The French Toast
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 16 slices white bread
Instructions
For The Filling
- In a large bowl beat the cream cheese with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla and beat until incorporated. Set aside.
For The French Toast
- In a pie tin mix together eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon.
- Spread a layer of the cream cheese mixture on one piece of bread. Spread a layer of strawberry jam on a second piece of bread. Top the jam with sliced strawberries and sandwich the bread together.
- Spray a skillet with cooking spray and heat over medium. Dip each sandwich in the egg mixture, making sure to coat the entire sandwich. Place the sandwich in the skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 2-4 minutes per side. Serve.
Notes
Serve this Stuffed French Toast with powdered sugar, extra sliced strawberries, and maple syrup
You can also use thicker french bread to make the sandwiches a bit bigger.
