10 Country Music Stars Share Their Favorite Holiday Meals with Recipes

The holiday season brings us together year and after. Every family celebrates differently, and it's these traditions that we love hearing from our community of readers. From sugar cookies to okra soup served with collard greens, here are the top holiday recipes from your favorite country guys and gals.

1. Brett Eldredge

The "Somethin' I'm Good At" singer absolutely loves chocolate. In an interview with Billboard, Brett said, "My mom makes chocolate brownies that are just incredible. She also makes a great chocolate cheesecake."

2. Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum

The leading lady of Lady Antebellum, Hillary Scott will be celebrating the holidays this year with a gift of two new family members due very soon.

While spending the holiday season with her family, Hillary gushes about her Grandmother's Sweet Potato Pie, "There's just something she puts in it -- probably all the love -- that makes it better than anything I've ever tasted."

Sweet potato pie is a favorite for many across the country. Sweet potatoes are pureed into a custard with lots of warm spices and baked in a crust.

3. Luke Bryan

The country sensation Luke Bryan doesn't celebrate Christmas like most. Getting rid of the hefty dinner, Bryan and his family celebrate the holidays with a chili dog cook out. Who can blame him? It seems a lot easier than making up an entire holiday dinner.

Whether you like them with cheese or a side of jalapeños, chili dogs are going to become a new Christmas staple.

4. Carrie Underwood

Carrie Underwood is celebrating Christmas this year by decorating sugar cookies with her son, Isaiah. She writes on her Instagram post: "I actually don't think I've ever made Christmas cookies before but this will definitely be a new tradition in the Fisher household!"

5. Miranda Lambert

Singer and songwriter Miranda Lambert is whipping up a lot of homemade gifts in the kitchen this holiday season.

In a recent interview with the Today Show, Miranda shares, "I bought [The All New Ball Book of Canning and Preserving] this year to learn the basics of canning. Everyone is getting pickles and preserves I made wrapped in beautiful bandanas. I even made up my own concoction: Bloody Mary Pickles."

Trisha Yearwood is a jack of all trades: A singer, actress, author and chef. Her show, Trisha's Southern Kitchen, airs on Food Network where she shares some of her favorite recipes, including plenty of holiday-themed Southern treats.

One of the most festive recipes has to be her Holiday Deviled Eggs. Dyed green and red and filled with two different egg fillings, these eggs are going to become a family favorite.

Singer Daris Rucker loves a big Charleston Christmas. "Collard greens, okra soup, sweet potato pies, and turkey," he shared with Billboard. "Okra soup is a Charleston thing with okra, tomatoes, corn and lima beans. It's my favorite meal."
