Heads up Chick-fil-A lovers, the chicken parmesan meal kit is now available nationwide! According to the brand, the take-home kit comes with two seasoned, breaded, and pressure-cooked chicken fillets, marinara sauce, Italian-style cheeses, and creamy garlic and lemon pasta. The Chick-fil-a mealtime kits were originally slated to be released later in the year, but due to the pandemic, the brand fast-tracked the product due to many people eating at home.

Are you sitting? If not, you better grab a chair because we have some big news for you. Chick-fil-A, the fast-food chain known for a delicious meal of chicken, is pushing the boundaries with their newest addition to the menu. Beginning on August 27th, customers will be able to purchase mealtime kits to bring home and cook. Yes, that's right, we've finally found the loophole to eat Chick-fil-a on Sundays.
The new meal kits are set to launch at over 150 Chick-fil-a restaurants in the Atlanta area for one month as a test-run before (hopefully) launching the program nationally. There are five different recipes available during the test period all developed by Chick-fil-A Chef Stuart Tracy. Each chicken meal kit serves two people and costs $15.89, which averages out at $7.94 a serving. The recipes include Chicken Parmesan, Chicken Enchiladas, Dijon Chicken, Pan Roasted Chicken and Chicken Flatbread.
We were lucky enough to receive one of the new mealtime kits to try, and let me tell you, I was shocked at how it turned out. But before we get into the juicy details, take a look at the Chick-fil-A mealtime kit itself.
The Kit
Whether you pick it up at the drive-thru or at the counter, the mealtime kits are packed in boxes with clear photos to ensure you get the recipe you want, every time.
Inside the box is pre-measured ingredients each in their own individual vacuum sealed bags. Everything is clearly labeled with the ingredient name. Kit recipes feature fresh ingredients which were apparent when I opened up the bag of broccolini.
The box also contains an informative recipe card which includes directions on how to cook the meal, all ingredients in the kit, and even helpful tips to share cooking with your kids. The recipe card focuses on simple instructions which are illustrated with a photograph, making it super easy to make the meal if you are not a regular home cook.
The Results
When I heard Chick-fil-A was releasing meal kits my first thought was a chicken sandwich at home kit (although would that really be a bad idea?). However, after opening up the meal I was blown away by the freshness of the ingredients.
The idea behind sharing Chicken Parmesan with customers was important to Chick-fil-A Chef, Stuart Tracy, who developed each of the five meal kit recipes.
"It has all the elements that you would expect from a great restaurant - but the difference is that you're cooking it right at home, and it's easy," Tracy said. "We wanted to create something that was filling and light, which is not always easy to do. The recipe has a rich flavor but also is wholesome, thanks to the addition of broccolini and tomatoes to the pasta."
Unlike the Chicken Parmesan you may normally make at home, this version uses Greek yogurt instead of the traditional egg wash and flour. The chicken is then pressed with a mixture of panko breadcrumbs and baked parmesan cheese to add that extra cheese flavor. The chicken is served alongside a garlic and lemon pasta loaded with fresh cooked tomatoes and broccolini.
Comparing to the photo on the box, I'd say this dish came out picture-perfect. I followed the steps exactly and was pleased with the tenderness of the chicken. It was juicy and plump and paired well with the saucy noodles.
Would I make this again? Oh, Yea.
