The Spaghett is the Drink of Summer

When I first came across this cocktail I couldn't imagine what was in it just from the name alone. Called the Spaghett, I could only imagine this cocktail was a mixture of tomato sauce and vodka, almost like a strange Italian take on the Bloody Mary. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find the cocktail called Spaghett was a mixture of Miller High Life, lemon juice and Aperol, almost like an Aperol Spritz, which is usually served with prosecco and a splash of soda water. It's a drink you have to try, especially when you find yourself in the Baltimore area.

How To Make a Spaghett

The cocktail was first spotted by Bon Appetit Editor Alex Delany during a visit to Wet City Brewing in Baltimore, Maryland. Thirsty, they took a look at the little happy hour menu card and decided to order the drink because it was spelled "Spaghetti without the eeee." I mean, who can blame them? I have ordered meals and drinks solely based on names more times then I care to count.

One sip and the editor declared it the official drink of summer, sharing that the easiest way to make the cocktail is to grab a bottle of high life and take a few sips. Add an ounce of Aperol and a squeeze of lime into the "rose gold liquid". That's it!

The spaghett isn't the only beer cocktail made using Miller High Life and Aperol, a classic Italian bitter apéritif made of gentian, rhubarb, and cinchona. Nosh City, a food blog based in Boston, MA, created a recipe for the Millerita, a Miller High Life margarita created with Miller High Life, tequila, Aperol, and lime. Like the Spaghett, the Millerita is made in the bottle after taking a sip to make room for the added shot. How many more of these Miller Lite Aperol cocktails are there out in the world?
