It's no longer frowned upon to eat cookies and milk for breakfast! This December in celebration with Little Debbie's 60th anniversary, Kelloggs is releasing new Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies cereal that tastes exactly like your favorite oatmeal cookie treat. Put on your bonnet and a spoon to enjoy this breakfast cereal inspired by Little Debbie Snack Cakes.

Little Debbie's Oatmeal Creme Pies Cereal is Cookies for Breakfast
The cookie cereal features crispy oatmeal cookie cereal bits coated in cinnamon, nutmeg, and a hint of molasses, all served in a 9.1-ounce box and a 14.5-ounce box. The oatmeal puffs are sweetened with a creme coating that comes to life once you pour on the milk. According to the cereal brand, the new cereal should be hitting the grocery store during the holiday season. It's hard to believe the most important meal of the day just got better! Do dreams come true? I'd say yes.
The History of Little Debbie
Little Debbies Oatmeal Creme Pies have been around since the 1960s and were the first snack baked under the Little Debbie name. It all started when O.D. and Ruth McKee started selling cakes out of their car in the early 1930s. A few years later the couple bought a bakery in Chattanooga, TN, where they started baking and selling cakes. It wasn't until the 1960s that the bakery pioneered the family pack, a package of individual snack cakes that sold for only 49 cents. The couple named the snack cakes after their granddaughter Debbie, and the rest is delicious dessert history. Today Debbie McKee-Fowler is still a big part of the company where she currently holds the position of Executive Vice President and serves on the McKee Foods Board of Directors.
I can't wait to try the oatmeal cookie cereal pieces when the cereal hits store shelves in December.
