The Return of the Aldi Wine Advent Calendar
Aldi has dubbed Wednesday, Nov. 3 their second annual National Advent Calendar Day, announcing that both the 2021 Collection Wine Advent calendar and Emporium Selection Advent Cheese calendar will be released on the first Wednesday of the month.
As the retailer explained to USA Today, "Once again, ALDI shoppers can count down to the holidays by pairing the wine and cheese Advent calendars full of ALDI-exclusive varieties. Plus, this year, the famous ALDI wine Advent calendar will feature new wine varieties and a $10 price drop."
The grocery chain will include 24 bottles of wine in their popular wine advent calendar, each in a 187-milliliter bottle as the perfect tasting size. This way, you can countdown to Christmas with a new wine every day.
Whether you prefer new wines or classic popular wines, Aldi's advent calendar will include everything you could want in a wine calendar, from bubbly sparkling wine to rosés to comforting red wines. The calendar will sell for $59.99, a full $10 less than previous years' prices.
It'll be available at all Aldi locations that sell alcohol, so check with your local Aldi store come November 3rd! The wine calendars won't be available for delivery or curbside pickup, but some other advent calendars will be.
Aldi Advent Calendars
2021 Emporium Selection Advent Cheese Calendar will be ideal to pair with Aldi's wine calendar, filled with a variety of cheeses like truffle cheddar, nutty goudas and Edam cheese. The chain will reveal the rest of their popular advent calendars in the coming months, and Aldi shoppers can't wait.
Last year, the store had 20 calendars, the most it had ever had, containing treats like toys, books, pet treats, candles, and more.
Aldi spokesperson Joah Kavanaugh says "Our Advent calendars are some of the most highly sought after and talked about items we offer each year, so we knew shoppers would welcome even more options. Based on the overwhelmingly positive shopper interest, we realized there was a real market for unique holiday countdown calendars."
Wine lovers, look out for the new Aldi wine calendar to celebrate the holiday season and find your new favorite wine!
