My Girlfriends and I Drank Every Flavor of White Claw For The Ultimate Ranking

Spiked seltzer, like skin-tight bodysuits and colorful chaco sandals, has slowly taken hold of my circle of girlfriends. It's a beverage we bring to every party and outing (I can't tell you how many we've drunk while floating down the Pigeon River on intertubes bought at Walmart) but we've never really nailed down our favorites. So I thought for one of our weekly girl's nights I would round up every flavor of White Claw, and a few thirsty guests to find out the best White Claw flavor, and the best variety pack to purchase for our next gathering. Buckle up, we've got 12 different White Claw Flavors to taste before the boys come home.

It should be noted that we only tested the original White Claw flavors and not the new White Claw Surf, White Claw Iced Tea, or the White Claw Surge. I don't think our livers could have handled that many flavors of White Claw in a night.

When it came to testing, we tried each seltzer and made notes on each. After we tried all of them, we re-tasted our top three to find the ultimate White Claw flavor. This is the flavor we would happily buy a keg of.

The Best White Claw Flavors, Ranked

Since you cannot buy White Claw seltzers individually, I decided to group these rankings by their Variety Pack boxes ranked from least favorite to most favorite.

White Claw Variety Box 2

White Claw recently switched out passionfruit for Mango in this variety pack, however, my local Ingles was still selling the older pack. We didn't get to try the passionfruit, unfortunately! Out of the three packs, this variety box was our least favorite of the bunch.

4. Lemon

If you are looking for a seltzer that tastes like water with a drop of lemon juice, this is the flavor for you. I personally would have liked more lemon flavor, but what can you do. It smells stronger than it tastes, so maybe take sniffs before every sip.

3. Tangerine

Like lemon, this flavor had a super mild and sweet taste. It wasn't bad, but it just wasn't one I would grab first out of the cooler.

2. Mango

I love Mango La Croix, so I'm sure to like this one, right? Eh. It's fruity and sour but has the fake mango smell I just can't stand. The other girls seemed to enjoy it though.

1. Watermelon White Claw

I've never tried this flavor before and was instantly impressed! Sure it tastes more like a Jolly Rancher than a slice of watermelon but we aren't complaining! This is one flavor I'll be grabbing first out of the box.

White Claw Variety Box 1

The OG White Claw box. While Black Cherry will always have a place in my heart, during this very scientific tasting I realized there are a number of flavors better than Black Cherry. The horror!

4. Grapefruit

Let me preface and say I am not a grapefruit lover. I don't do bitter and this White Claw flavor is very bitter. I'm sure other people like it, but it was a no for me. It probably didn't help that I dropped the can as well.

3. Black Cherry

The OG. This flavor always tastes like a melted popsicle and reminds me of lake days. Normally I grab these first, but after this tasting, I'm not sure anymore!

2. Lime

Super refreshing and perfect for porch sipping, Lime White Claw has a thumbs-up from me and the girl gang.

1. Raspberry

I'm obsessed. There's no other way to explain how good this flavor it! Sweet with berry notes, it was a total winner for all of us.

White Claw Variety Box 3

The most recent variety released, this box is filled with fruity flavors that pair wonderfully with beach and pool days. Overall this box had the most favorite flavors.

4. Strawberry

I don't think I've ever had something strawberry-flavored that I didn't like and this White Claw is no exception. My friends didn't share the same sentiment, ranking this flavor last in the box.

3. Mango

As noted above, it's not bad...but it's also not good.

2. Pineapple

If you are looking for some Pina-Colada vibes, this White Claw flavor has you covered! Honestly, you could add a shot of coconut rum and make a killer no-brainer cocktail.

1. Blackberry

I was so surprised at how berry delicious this flavor was! Sweet! Bubbly! All the vibes! I could have happily drank this all night.

The Best White Claw Flavor, Ever

Drumroll, please......

Raspberry White Claw

After crunching the numbers and putting all the data through extensive testing (writing out numbers on a piece of paper) we concluded Raspberry White Claw as the best flavor of the bunch. Now excuse me as I go eat something and sober up.
