Gwen Stefani lived a peak fashion week. For the two most recent rounds of blind auditions on The Voice (which aired Oct. 2-3), she wore an outfit that paid homage to her ska-punk roots. While promoting Season 24 alongside fellow coach Niall Horan on Tuesday's (Oct. 3) broadcast of The Jennifer Hudson Show, her '90s vibes screamed Clueless.

Black and white checkerboard patterns —a reference to Stefani's two-tone ska forebears— covered the leader of Team Gwen on The Voice. Her crop top and high-waisted miniskirt matched a stunning overcoat. She tied the look together with checkered heels and a black and white hair bow. Accessory-wise, she once again wore the layered necklaces that read "Shelton" and "Stefani."
In one of the best moments of the season so far, Stefani drew attention to her playful style while talking 6-year-old Leilani, the daughter of contestant Jacquie Roar, into picking Team Gwen over Team Reba.
"I really like your songs," Leilani told Stefani during the segment. "I always wanted to see you in real life."
Per Women's Wear Daily, the outfit was put together by Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn, who've worked with another reality TV staple, America's Got Talent's Heidi Klum.
On The Jennifer Hudson Show, Stefani wore a matching blazer and miniskirt over a floral-patterned blouse. The ensemble has gained comparisons to the iconic style of Cher Horowitz, Alicia Silverstone's character in the 1995 comedy Clueless. Mary Jane-style, ankle-strap platform heels tied the look together, as did another key piece of the Stefani aesthetic: fishnet tights.
Stefani and Horan were promoting The Voice, which returned to NBC on Sept. 25. They're joined this season on the coaching panel by John Legend and Shelton's replacement, country music legend Reba McEntire.
