"Happy Birthday to my favorite all time person ever born in any time period in the history of mankind!!!!! I love you [Stefani]," Shelton wrote in the caption of the photo, which shows the couple sharing a warm embrace.

The Voice host and family friend Carson Daly swooped in with a good-natured joke, typing "get a room..." and punctuating it with a puke emoji.

Fans of both singers praised the couple.

"In 7th grade I was the biggest fan of you both and I bought cds of both of yours, if you woulda told me you two would've ended up together my head would have exploded," read one comment.

Shelton and Stefani first met when Stefani became a coach on The Voice in 2014. They officially became a couple in the fall of 2015 after going through divorces from their former spouses. They said "I do" in a ceremony at Shelton's Oklahoma ranch on July 3, 2021. The couple wed in an intimate chapel Shelton built for the special day, and their friend Daly officiated the wedding.

Shelton finds himself with some free time this year, as he stepped down as a coach on The Voice after 23 seasons. Stefani, on the other hand, returned to the show for Season 24, which debuted on Sept. 25.

"It's really different being on the show without him," Stefani told Today while being interviewed alongside the rest of this coming season's coaching roster: Niall Horan, John Legend and Shelton's replacement, fellow country star Reba McEntire.

Through Stefani stressed that "I miss him so bad on the show," there is a bright side to Shelton's absence.

"It hasn't been as hard as I thought it was going to be, because I think he was so ready to have a break that it was kind of weighing on me the last season we were on there." she shared. "I still really love being on the show."
