Though John Legend didn't make this year's GQ Men of the Year list, he looked as if he'd stepped right out of the magazine's pages and onto the red carpet. "The Voice" coach wore a sharp, slightly bedazzled suit jacket to the black tie affair, making him no less fashionable than honoree Kim Kardashian looked with blonde hair.

Legend's suit covered a black button-up dress shirt for a simple yet stylish look.
Kardashian was joined on this year's list by rapper Travis Scott, "Priscilla" star Jacob Elordi and fashion designer and filmmaker Tom Ford.
The party was hosted Thursday night (Nov. 16) at Bar Marmont in Los Angeles.
Legend is among the more ideal celebrities to represent the publication at what Variety calls "the male Met Gala."
"For a long time, Men of the Year has been the defacto men's red carpet, but we hadn't done much to orchestrate that," Will Welch, the magazine's global editorial director, told Variety. "Being so deeply a part of the fashion community, the amazing relationships we have and the way that menswear has exploded over 10 years — it's so important to men, and to our readers. They want to see what's next."
Kardashian's inclusion drew some social media criticism. However, she's not the first woman to appear on a Men of the Year cover, as the tradition began in 2005 with Jennifer Anniston. Others to make it onto the list include Scarlett Johansson, Mila Kunis, Rihanna, Shailene Woodley, Gal Gadot, Serena Williams, Jennifer Lopez and Megan Thee Stallion.
There's even more inclusion in the UK. Eleven of the 20 to make this year's list across the pond are women.
It wasn't Legend's first public appearance this past week in Hollywood. On Sunday, he joined wife Chrissy Teigen and their two oldest children in cooking breakfast for the families staying at the local Ronald McDonald House.
