Thanks to a recent find, we can now find how our marriages would fair if we lived during the late 1930s. The American Psychological Association recently shared a vintage marital quiz from the era that's quickly gone viral.

George W. Crane, Ph.D., M.D. created the quiz way back in 1939 to help couples determine how well they were performing as husband and wife.
Most of the items that count for and against a person would be seen as ludicrous in today's society. For example, men would make good husbands if they gave their wife an "ample allowance" or turned over their paycheck to them. On the flip side, you might not have that great of a husband if he snores or doesn't leave you the car for you on days you might need it.
Being a good wife is even tougher. Women receive bad marks for wearing crooked hose and red nail polish. And heaven forbid you go to bed with curlers in your hair or face cream on! If you want to be a good wife, you must be able to play a musical instrument, dress for breakfast and let your husband sleep in on Sundays and holidays.
You also get bonus points for not going to bed angry and making up with your husband first.
For most of us, it would be difficult to have the marriages we have now during the 1930s. But, taking this quiz is still a lot of fun, and you're sure to get a good laugh. You may even be able to hold the low scores over your spouse's head for a while!
