Lambert and the band will perform at the famous Joe's Bar in Chicago on Jan. 24. Joe's is one of the premier country venues in Chicago, particularly for Texas country, red dirt and outlaw country band. So in a way, the locations is a tip of the hat to Lambert's Texas roots.
Special guest Natalie Hemby joins Lambert for the performance. Hemby has a habit of writing some excellent country tunes, many of which happen to be with Texans. She has songs with Lee Ann Womack, Eli Young Band, Kelly Clarkson and Miranda Lambert, among others.
The performance promises to be an intimate one, but it also will support a good cause. The $50 ticket fees all go toward Miranda Lambert's "Women Creator Fund," which funds a scholarship for one woman attending Belmont University in Nashville and pursue a music industry career.
Last year's recipient, Anna Vaus, has since made her way into the vaunted Song Suffragettes, a spotlight on talented female artists in country music.
The special rehearsal show has a limited number of tickets available. So submit a ticket request here and hope for the best!
