The "Huntin, Fishin' and Lovin' Every Day" singer will help Shelton's team members during the battle rounds where teammates compete against each other to secure their spot on Team Blake. Bryan is there to help during rehearsals and give advice before the live show. He's already filmed his portion in Los Angeles, and says he loved helping the aspiring singers.

"I enjoy being in the moment with those artists and in my gut feeling, tell them the best thing I can tell them and really lift them up," Bryan tells The Tennessean. "I think I get lost in the shuffle in the media of the guy who dances on stage. I think people don't realize that I moved to town, wrote songs and got a record deal. Early in my career, I was so nervous about big moments, I didn't even enjoy them. I just want to help these people settle into who they are and enjoy the moment."

Shelton asked Bryan to join Team Blake as a mentor on more than one occasion but the timing never worked out. The dates always interfered with Bryan's annual Crash My Playa event, but not this year. Shelton said that Bryan even helped contestants with their on-stage moves. How very Luke Bryan of him!

"Once he realized he was getting wrapped up in it, Luke was showing them dance moves and things to do," Shelton explained. "That's what happens, though. At some point, you realize, 'I'm an artist, no one ever really listens to what we have to say because it's our one thing we can do.' But when these [contestants] ask, you can say, 'That's easy because I've been there before. Normally it's [advice] you would take to the grave with you."

Season 12 of The Voice begins on Feb. 27 on NBC.
