Watch Eric Church's Weird First Encounter with His Madame Tussauds Wax Figure

Eric Church recently met his new wax figure from Madame Tussauds. And it was definitely a little weird. The country star saw his wax figure for the first time before playing a sold out show at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

In a video shared to Facebook, Church greets his six-foot two-inch wax counterpart with a look of bemused eeriness. "Wow, that is insane," Church says in the video.

It helps that Church and the Madame Tussauds figure are wearing similar clothing, including a leather jacket and the same boots. "We didn't plan that, haus," Church jokes to the figure.

But it gets really weird when Church takes the sunglasses off his waxy self and looks into his eyes. "That is weird!" he exclaims. Off camera, his wife Katherine offers a few chuckles of her own. Watch the whole interaction in this Facebook video.

If you want to see these incredibly lifelike sculptures, you'll soon get your chance. Nashville's very own Madame Tussauds Wax Museum opens April 14, and features the Church figurine and many more. That includes the Luke Bryan sculpture he met recently and featured on the ACM Awards.

But the new museum is way more than incredible sculptures of celebrities. The space out near the Grand Ole Opry also features recreations of classic moments in music. A 1950s-era radio station, the Opry before it moved, the historic Bluebird Cafe (in case you can't get into the real one) and many other exhibits.

You can bet stars will be on hand to celebrate the opening of the museum as well. And who knows, they may just camp out next to other wax figures to fool passersby.

Tickets start at $19, and the only way to guarantee entry is to book online. Chances are, the Nashville museum will be a hot commodity in the opening months, so you'll want to plan your trip early.
