Christina and her ex-husband Tarek are real estate agents who make a living flipping houses. Their falling out started back in May when Christina called the police to their home. At the time, she told the authorities that she and Tarek had an argument and he had taken a gun with him into the woods near their home.
The couple later announced their split and subsequent divorce in December. While this would end most professional relationships, Christina and Tarek decided to stick it out.
"Tarek and I have been working together for a long time and we look forward to continuing to work together on 'Flip or Flop,'" Christina told People in a statement.

Naturally, the couple also has a monetary incentive to continue the show. According to The Wrap, they have made over $5 million in profits since the show began in 2013. HGTV also plans to create spin-offs of the show with other couples.
Christina and Tarek married back in 2009. They are parents to two children, whom the couple says are taking the drama surrounding their separation very well. They also run a real estate seminar, and Christina is also currently in the process of writing a book.
