Miranda Lambert and Wade Bowen wrapped up their joint summer tour dates with two shows at Colorado's legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Aug. 8 and 9.

During the last show, Lambert brought out Bowen and fellow Texan Randy Rogers for "Sing Me Back Home," a Merle Haggard tune they worked up just a few hours before the show.

The trio has known each other well before Lambert became a bonafide country star.
"I started playing music in Texas when I was 17, and I started playing with these two guys," Lambert told the audience. "And they're my pals."
For such a quick rehearsal, they sure made this one sound purty.
If you enjoyed that cover, check out Lambert and Bowen's live cover of a George Strait song at their recent show in Texas.
The Hag has been a tremendous influence on all three singer-songwriters, Rogers especially. When we spoke with Rogers earlier this year, he told us "Misery & Gin" is the one country song that holds the biggest spot in his heart.
"Drowning out heartache, drink by drink is as country as it gets," Rogers said. "The song is sad and real and poetic all at the same time - all the things Hag was a master at."
Rogers also recorded a version of "Misery & Gin" for Bruce Robison's Next Waltz series.
