Old Dominion paid homage to both Troy Gentry and Don Williams at their show on Friday night.

The group took the stage to perform a show in Sandwich, Ill. just hours after word spread of Troy Gentry's and Don Williams' deaths. Fittingly, the band decided to play a set of songs in their honor.
In a post to their Instagram account, Old Dominion posted a video clip of them playing Montgomery Gentry's "My Town" stating, "Got a little choked up when the crowd started singing, but still."
"My Town" came out in 2002 and went to No. 5 on the country charts. Later on in the night, they played "Tulsa Time," one of Don Williams' trademark hits.
"Don Williams got us through a lot of bar shows," Old Dominion said in an Instagram post. "Had to dust this one off too last night."
The song was made famous by Don Williams, reaching No. 1 in 1978, but it was also covered by Eric Clapton and Reba McEntire.
Gentry was killed in a helicopter crash on Friday, just weeks short of his 54th birthday. He had been en route to a performance in New Jersey.

Williams also passed away on Friday, at the age of 78, due to emphysema.
