Everything We Know About the Junk Gypsies' Hotel, the Wander Inn

After years of helping others turn their homes into Southern paradises, the women of Junk Gypsy have created the ultimate Texas stay-cation destination: the Junk Gypsies Wander Inn.

For nearly 20 years, sisters Amie and Jolie Sikes have provided a one-stop shop for free-spirited cowgirl clothing, road trip gear, some of Miranda Lambert's favorite t-shirts, vintage finds, bohemian housewares and "chippy peely" furniture.

The Sikes sisters -- self-proclaimed "purveyors of the world's finest junk" -- have built a Texas empire out giving new life to flea market treasures and churning out DIY projects of your wildest Pinterest dreams.

The Junk Gypsy world headquarters in Round Top is a favorite stop among Texas travelers. The sisters have followed up that success with a popular series on Great American Country and HGTV and a New York Times best-selling book. After all that, you couldn't blame the gypsies for taking some much-needed time off. But that's just not the Gypsyville way.

It's located in Round Top near their store

The Wander Inn, which sits in the gorgeous Round Top countryside, is open for business in two buildings adjacent to the Junk Gypsy store. Located near the original Chisolm Trail, the Wander Inn combines vintage western and Americana-style with an irresistibly cozy setting.  Here you'll find the Sikes' personal touches and attention to detail in full effect, resulting in a magical place that serves as an ode to dreamers and a perfect weekend getaway.

Hit up the Wander Inn Instagram for a taste of what it's like to check into Gypsyville.

In true Junk Gypsy fashion, a little southwestern flair goes a long way.

One of the crown jewels of the Wander Inn is the vintage Star Motel Sign that hangs in the lobby. If the sign looks familiar to country music fans, it's because Miranda Lambert shot her recent American Songwriter cover there. (Lambert, a Junk Gypsy fan from way back, also posed in front of the Junk Gypsy world headquarters for The Weight of These Wings album cover.)

The inn contains eight suites, all of which include a spa tub, a balcony, and a fireplace. Amie Sikes told Cowgirl Magazine that she and her sister handmade most of the headboards, furniture, and bedding in the inn. The inn also offers a fire pit and jacuzzi tubs.

The Wander Inn seems like its the perfect place to stay for the hugely popular Round Top Antiques Week. But you should probably act fast: The Wander Inn will undoubtedly be a favorite among antiquers and "junkers" alike. If you want to avoid the crowds, it's worth it to book a stay at the inn and take in the endlessly charming Round Top without the throngs of people. Wander the tiny town, shop at Junk Gypsy and eat at Royers Round Top Cafe.

All that's left to do is sit back, relax and let the wanderlust set in.
