The title track of the record, "Cry Pretty," has already been released and celebrated with an explosive performance at the ACM Awards. The song lends itself to emotional vulnerability and encourages a release of pent-up feelings held in behind one's mask of being "OK." Fans have already clung to the song, placing it at the top of the iTunes Top Songs charts in 12 countries and gaining 1.3 million streams in the U.S. in only a couple of days.
Underwood says that the full album will be fearlessly open. "At this point in my career, I feel stronger and more creative than ever. I think you can hear that in this new album," Underwood said in a press release. "It's emotional, it's soulful, it's real, and we also have some fun on there too. I hope everyone loves it as much as I have loved making it."
