To celebrate the release of their new record Port Saint Joe on April 20, the Brothers Osborne took the stage on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to show audiences the rock-fueled side of the band with their first single, "Shoot Me Straight."

Right after Colbert introduced the group, the camera switched to a sepia-tone filter, giving the performance an old Western feel and setting the stage for the Brothers Osborne's unique sound.

Though the studio audience couldn't see the change, they didn't miss out one bit on the blistering performance. It must have been impossible to stay still through the fiery energy of the track. Even watching it at home will at least have your foot tapping and head nodding.

The music provides the perfect amount of intensity to back up the intense lyrics that bring the listener to the beginning of a breakup speech. Instead of listening to false pleasantries from their significant other, the Brothers Osborne are demanding that she "pour it on like a shot of whiskey and shoot me straight" and "Don't muddle it up, don't water it down/ Give me everything you got right here, right now/ Make it burn."

This month, the Brothers Osborne took home two ACM Awards (Best Vocal Duo and Best Video), and with this performance, it's easy to see why.
