Keith Urban's opening track off of his new record Graffiti U was released back in March, and now, "Coming Home" has an accompanying video that might change how you perceive the song.

In the track, Urban utilizes guitar riffs borrowed from Merle Haggard's "Mama Tried," giving a pop flare to one of Urban's favorite artists.

"Hearing that rolling Haggard guitar lick sparked memories of my childhood, and my dream to come to America," Urban said in a statement. "I knew right then the story [of the song] was about the struggles of being in a city where your dreams have brought you, but far from your home - wherever, whomever and whatever that is for each of us."

The video takes viewers on a dizzying journey that mimics both the feeling of being out of place and the morphing nature of memories over time. Urban doesn't seem disturbed while navigating the winding, surreal landscape, so there's nothing cartoonish about the rabbit hole he has fallen down, allowing the song to have depth.

Keith Urban's next show will be in Nashville at the Nissan Stadium during the CMA Music Festival before kicking off his Graffiti U tour on June 15 in St. Louis. This extensive North American tour runs through the beginning of November.
