Garth Brooks has been teasing a big world tour announcement for months, and today he revealed the first part of what he's been planning.
The country music superstar will become the first music act to headline Notre Dame Stadium in Notre Dame, Ind. this fall. The big announcement was made during a press conference at WME in Nashville, Tenn. Although details are sparse, Brooks did reveal that he won't be the only one taking the stage for this historic performance.
Another one of country music's biggest stars will also take the stage in Notre Dame Stadium. However, Brooks said he cannot yet reveal who that artist is. While the press waited for the conference to begin, multiple Eric Church songs were played over the speakers, which could be a subtle hint as to his mystery collaborator. It is rumored that Church will be releasing a new single in the coming weeks, and he currently has no tour dates or upcoming events currently announced. However, Brooks was tight-lipped about the identity of his mystery co-headliner.
So far, details like when concert tickets will go on sale, ticket prices, and the concert's exact date have not been released. It's also unclear if Trisha Yearwood, acclaimed country star and wife of Brooks, will appear for this concert date. (She previously appeared on the majority of Brooks' American World Tour concert series in recent years.)

"You do things in your life that your'e proud of, if you're lucky," he explained. "This one, just by association, brings a ton of pride to myself and my family."
"I can't tell you how excited we are to bring a different kind of crazy to that stadium," Brooks continued. "What this represents for us is something beyond words."
