This morning, country singer Eric Paslay posted a photo of himself and his wife Natalie as they appeared to be busking next to a sign that reads "Need diaper money." The caption, "@nataliepaslay and I are so EXCITED to announce that we...!!! #NeedDiaperMoney #baby #pregnant #love#photooftheday," delivered the unexpected announcement that the pair will soon be welcoming their first child to the world.

Eric and Natalie married in April 2015 after dating for two years, and now the two are more than ready to add to their family. Their announcement has already drawn public congratulations from Little Big Town's Karen Fairchild, Lindsay Ell and singer-songwriter Chuck Wicks who wrote, "First. Congrats!!!! Second.. what a COOL way to announce!!! #creativeminds" on Paslay's unique Instagram post.
Paslay will soon join the line-up of Nashville country stars who recently became dads for the first time. Thomas Rhett, Brantley Gilbert and Florida Georgia Line's Tyler Hubbard are new dads as of last year, placing Paslay in good company.
Paslay, a 35-year-old Texas native, released his hit self-titled record in 2014 with the singles "Friday Night," "Song About a Girl," and "She Don't Love You." Currently, he has a new single out, "Young Forever," and a recent project called The Work Tapes where he reveals the path of a song from its inception, to demo versions, to the finished product. In addition to his own music, Paslay is also known for writing songs for others like Jake Owen's "Barefoot Blue Jean Night" and co-writing the Eli Young Band's "Even If It Breaks Your Heart" with Will Hoge.
Fans can shout their congratulations at Paslay in person while he continues on his tour throughout the summer and into the fall with dates across the U.S. and a couple in London near the end of October. Keep an eye out for more news about Paslay's first child. Perhaps a creative gender reveal will follow-up the announcement photo?
