Dolly Parton is one of several artists who has contributed to 27: the Most Perfect Album, a collection of songs about the U.S. constitutional amendments. The project is the creation of Jad Abumrad and the team behind the podcast More Perfect, which focuses on Supreme Court decisions.
Parton's song, "A Woman's Right," honors the 19th amendment and outlines the women's suffrage movement in the U.S.
The track is filled with whip smart Dolly quips that have defined the country superstar throughout her legendary career.
"The first bite of the apple I guess revealed the truth," Parton sings. "That's when Eve got smart and that's why Adam don't like fruit."
A born trailblazer herself, Parton reflects on how far women have come and how hard they've had to fight to get here, singing "They said a woman's place was staying in her hut, washin', cookin', cleanin', wipin' babies butts/ They said she'd never see the day we'd equal up to them/ But here we are; we've come so far/ I guess we sure showed them."
In a statement, Parton said she wrote the song to uplift women.
"I was very happy to participate in Jad Abumrad's podcast's album," Parton said in a statement. "Being lucky enough to be a successful woman in business, I wanted to exercise my right to write about the 19th Amendment to praise and uplift women. Of course, I did a fun take on my song 'A Woman's Right' and I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I, some good gals, and a few good guys did putting it together for you."

Parton fans have a lot to look forward to. Her Netflix film project, Dumplin', is set to hit the streaming service in the coming months. On Sept. 14, she released "Here I Am," a collaboration with pop singer Sia that will appear on the Dumplin' soundtrack.
Next year, 9 to 5: The Musical, featuring a Tony-nominated score written by Parton, will open at London's Savoy Theater.
