The South Austin Moonlighters have a song for city dwellers who left their hearts back in the country. "Carry Me On," from the band's forthcoming Anders Osborne-produced album Travel Light (out on May 17), celebrates life outside the city limits.

Band member Chris Beall says the song was inspired by a visit with a friend and an old tractor.
"I visited a friend awhile back, and in the field behind his house was an old Ford 9N tractor—-arguably the coolest-looking tractor ever made. That set the wheels in motion for 'Carry Me On'—-no traffic; no huge mortgage payment; no daily grind; just some space and some "peace and quiet" from survival in the city," Beall tells Wide Open Country. "Life can be tough, and sometimes we just need a break."
