Country superstar Shania Twain has joined the cast of the upcoming faith-based film I Still Believe. The movie, also starring Gary Sinise, Britt Robertson, K.J. Apa, Nathan Dean Parsons and Melissa Roxburgh, is based on the life of Christian music star Jeremy Camp. The film, directed by Jon Erwin and Andrew Erwin, is a follow-up to the 2018 film I Can Only Imagine.

Twain will portray Jeremy Camp's mother, Terry Camp. Deadline reports that the film follows the Grammy-winning Christian singer's journey of love and loss.
The film will begin shooting later this month in Alabama. I Still Believe, written by Jon Erwin and Jon Gunn, will be released in March of 2020.

Twain recently starred in the racing drama Trading Paint opposite John Travolta. Previously, the singer made a cameo appearance in the 2004 movie I Heart Huckabees. She also appeared in a 2017 episode of the Comedy Central series Broad City as herself.
