South Carolina-based Americana rockers The High Divers find liberation after the end of a painful and volatile relationship on "Our Love is a Fire." The song, from their forthcoming album Ride With You (out June 7), details an abusive relationship and is based on a true story.

Band member Mary Alice Mitchell says writing the song was a cathartic experience.
"This song actually came to me while I was dreaming right before I woke up one morning, and I quickly sat down with a guitar to record it on my phone before I forgot it," Mitchell tells Wide Open Country. "Then the chorus came to me while I was in the shower a few days later, and I had to sing it over and over again so that I wouldn't forget it, and it turned into a kind of mantra. This song has been therapeutic and liberating for me, and I hope it is for other people too, whatever it might mean to them."
