Laurel Canyon-inspired folk trio JEMS (Emily Colombier, Jessica Rotter and Sarah Margaret Huff) reckon with deceptive dreams on the gorgeous "Master Weaver," from their 2019 self-titled debut album.

The song's video, which Wide Open Country is premiering today, perfectly captures the moodiness of the song, featuring the trio in a picturesque field at dawn.
"'Master Weaver' has always been a song about realizing something you're chasing that seems so shiny in the dim distance could actually come to hurt you," the band tells Wide Open Country. "For this video we worked with director and choreographer Alexandra Palmer (who also photographed our single artwork). We thought it would be fitting to do an early morning sunrise shoot to capture the blues and mood of half light. It was so great working with her again because she has such a profound sense for the subtleties of movement and we loved the idea of visually rising out of a dark emotional journey as a trio in something so simple as a performance video."

Bound by rich, three part harmonies, the trio formed after Los Angeles natives Colombier and Rotter met Huff, who moved to L.A. from Nashville in 2015.
