Wallace, who released her critically-acclaimed album Into the Blue in 2019, says Ronstadt is one of her greatest musical inspirations.
"My parents had a lot of incredible singers playing in the house growing up - Emmylou Harris, Bonnie Raitt, Dolly Parton - but Linda's voice was the one I could really hear myself in," Wallace tells Wide Open Country. "I think I found my own voice by listening and mimicking and studying the way she sang. And 'Long, Long Time' is not only one of the most beautifully composed songs I think I've ever heard, but it's the one that showcased her powerful voice in a way that just took my breath away, It was my favorite song of hers the first time I heard it."
