Gucci's Selling Jeans With Fake Grass Stains For $800

At this point, we can all expect high-end designers to release articles of clothing that seem a bit ridiculous for the average person. But the new denim designs that luxury brand Gucci released for fall really take that to the next level. These Gucci jeans are covered in fake grass stains.

The Italian fashion house is calling these "Eco washed organic denim pant." They really should have just said, "Our new take on jeans that look like you were wearing them while you were dragged through a cornfield." They also felt the need to attach a price tag of $773. For one pair of jeans. Not including tax.

The product description on Gucci's website is pretty hard not to laugh at. "Channelling the Fall Winter 2020 collection's grunge vibe, this wide-leg denim pant is crafted from organic cotton specifically treated for a stained-like, distressed effect." If you feel like being trendy and telling your friends you bought some jeans from Gucci's men's collection, you could honestly go to the thrift store and find an oversize pair of work pants and roll around in the dirt out back until your stains look comparable.

It's unclear what Gucci used to create their grass stain effect, but we know from the website that their manufacturing process makes sure to "restrict the use of chemicals, eliminate pesticides or artificial fertilizers and incorporate methods that respect biodiversity, improve soil quality and reduce water consumption." So at least your overprice jeans weren't dyed with harmful chemicals.

These jeans have been trending on social media with hilarious reactions to not only the faux stained jeans but the denim overalls with adjustable straps that have the same grass effect in the knee area. The tweets of rage when people see the jeans for the first time are completely hilarious. Check out the jeans for yourself here and the overalls here on Gucci's website and enjoy all of the entertaining reactions below.
