When it comes to early memories of performing, country star Kane Brown's fans remember his stories about winning a high school talent show by singing Chris Young's "Gettin' You Home." That performance set Brown on course for a country music career, even if he told the Tennessean that his classmates marred that night by shouting racial slurs.

Even before that, the Georgia native was caught on camera at age 12, singing along to Tim McGraw's "I Like It, I Love It," karaoke style. Brown posted the footage to social media in Jan. 2019, and it's as adorable as you'd hope.
The country star's wife Katelyn Jae surely gets a kick out of young Kane singing along to a '90s classic, and their baby girl Kingsley Rose will love it, too, once she's big enough to attend birthday parties, church functions or whatever this is where a guy wearing a Garth Brooks headset put a hat on the future country singer's head.
Because of his past experiences, Brown will make sure that his daughter Kingsley has the best childhood possible.
"I grew up without a dad, so I was kind of wanting to relive my childhood while I was being a dad to my little girl," Brown tells Hits Daily Double. "Take her to Six Flags, to Disney World, coach her softball team and do all the things I didn't have a dad to do with me."

The video post went on Facebook a little over three months before the Brown family announced it was expecting its first child. Later that same year, Jason Aldean and his wife Brittany hosted a baby shower for Kane and Katelyn Brown's little girl.
Nine years after this 2005 footage, Brown made it to Nashville, where he recorded the crowd-funded debut EP Closer. His self-titled debut album followed in 2016. Hits since then range from "Cool Again" to Marshmello collaboration "One Thing Right" and socially aware country song "Worldwide Beautiful."
