Stage fright didn't stop Clint Black's daughter Lily Pearl Black on Halloween. The 19-year-old performer made her Grand Ole Opry debut during her dad's Oct. 31 appearance on the show that made country music famous.

"I got something very special for this next song," Clint Black said while introducing his special guest (around 45 minutes into the above video). "We got a second-year music student from Belmont University who's going to make her Opry debut tonight.

"She's gonna get to find out what we already know, that you guys are the most fantastic audience in the world right here at the Opry House," he added. "Help me welcome her out; it's my daughter, Lily Black."

Lily Pearl then nailed what she introduced as one of her favorite Carrie Underwood songs, 2009's "Temporary Home."

Bravely appearing on Nashville's biggest stage for the first time is one thing. Pulling off an Underwood cover under that circumstance shows talent and guts that few of any age or from any family can muster.

Lily made her recording debut in 2018 when she joined voices with her dad on the holiday duet "Magical Christmas." The family's got a good track record with duets, with Clint and his wife Lisa Hartman Black's "When I Said I Do" winning Vocal Event of the Year at the 1999 ACM Awards.

"Lily has been bitten by the bug," Clint told CMT about his daughter's musical ambition. "She has always loved to perform, but recently she made a conscious decision to apply herself to developing her talents. We're excited to see where it takes her. She loves to dance and act as well, but for me, her musical talents and the qualities of her voice suggest music will be her strength."

She's not Clint Black's only daughter with country singer dreams. Lily's half-sister Chelsea Bain is blazing her own path as a singer and songwriter.

The "Killin' Time" singer's love story with Lily's mother, Lisa Hartman Black, began in 1990 at a New Year's Eve concert in Houston, Texas.

The final show of the Opry's month-long 95th anniversary featured Clint Black and his fellow country star Steve Wariner. Clint and Lisa Hartman Black have since appeared on Fox TV show The Masked Singer as snow owls.
