The series premieres on Nat Geo on Mon., Aug. 29 at 9 p.m. EST and will air five consecutive nights. All episodes will be available on the Disney+ streaming service on Wed., Aug. 31.

A Brooks-narrated trailer was released on Aug. 4.

Per TV Insider, Dr. Jill Biden will introduce each episode.

"National Parks is a celebration of the natural wonder and power of nature in our backyard. From iconic places to secret gems, this series will open the gateways for all to explore the breadth of the beauty and tranquility," said Janet Han Vissering, senior vice president of production and development for National Geographic (as quoted by Deadline). "We are proud to partner with Wildstar and their incredible breadth of talent to open a window into the very best wildlife and natural history programming, and to be narrated by none other than Garth Brooks."

Brooks is among the series' executive producers. Press materials from National Geographic laud the Oklahoma-born entertainer as a "voice of America."

"Our national parks are truly an amazing gift. The land is what defines us. The land is what tells the American story," the country music superstar added in a press release. "It is such an honor and I'm so excited to be a part of this series - a series that celebrates all our heritage."

Taste of Country reports that "viewers can expect to see 'intimate glimpses into the lives of the charismatic and intriguing animals that inhabit the parks' from the team behind Disneynature's Earth and Elephant Eden, as well as the BBC's Planet Earth and Frozen Planet."

Each episode of the docuseries was shot with long lens cinematography, high-resolution drone technology and remote camera traps.

In May, National Geographic published a book titled 100 Great American Parks, penned by travel expert Stephanie Pearson and with a forward by Brooks.
