Lauren Alaina is Set to Make Hallmark Channel Debut This Fall

The Hallmark Channel is already starting to reveal its upcoming 2021 Fall Harvest Lineup with country star Lauren Alaina set to lead the new movie Roadhouse Romance. The romantic comedy will kick off the network's Fall programming in September with Hallmark regular Tyler Hynes co-starring. This will be Alaina's debut film on the Hallmark Channel and we honestly can't wait for her to (hopefully) become a regular face on the popular network.

The Roadhouse Romance storyline follows Lieutenant Callie Jackson (Alaina) who tries to settle back into her life after returning home from a military tour. Unfortunately, nothing is the same -- her late grandfather's BBQ business isn't doing well and her former high school sweetheart has found a new leading lady. But a handsome TV director named Luke (Hynes) teaches Callie that maybe it's more important to focusing on the future instead of dwelling on her past. Like every good Hallmark movie, we have a feeling that Callie will end up falling for this unexpected love interest who will take her life in a direction she never initially envisioned was possible.

As a country music singer (and CMT Award winner), it makes sense that Alaina will be performing her songs "Run" and "What Do You Think Of" in the upcoming film. Though her focus is music, this won't be Alaina's first time acting. The former American Idol runner-up previously starred in the 2017 film Road Less Traveled and appeared in an episode of Nashville.

Tyler Hynes has previously appeared in a few Hallmark movies including The Mistletoe SecretOn the 12th Date of Christmas, and Sweet Carolina. Mark your calendars because Roadhouse Romance will be premiering on Saturday, September 11 at 9 pm ET.
