People Are Getting Rip-Roaring Drunk By Inhaling Alcohol Out of Balloons

Kids these days (kids meaning anyone over the legal drinking age but still young enough to not remember when people used to write checks at the grocery store) seem to think taking liquid shots from a bottle of liquor is a lame way to get wasted. So someone invented the Alcohol Mist machine that traps alcohol vapor in a balloon, letting you get an instant buzz when you inhale the balloon. Good grief, what is this world coming to?

Created by Vapshot, "The Alcohol MIST system is an innovative way to present liquor shots to your patrons," according to the company's website. Designed to make alcohol mist shots for a crowd, the new product is available for a whopping $7,999. It's recommended for use by clubs or bars with a capacity of over 500 patrons. The company also sells a mini version for $1,999 and a version that also dispenses CBD to add a little mellow to that drunk feeling.

Wanna Know How This Alcoholic Mist Works?

First, fill up the machine with a 750ml bottle of liquor. The machine transforms the alcohol to a fine mist containing micro-droplets of liquid alcohol which are inflated into a latex balloon. The shot is inhaled rather than drank, making it hit faster than if you were drinking alcohol. The inhalable alcohol also leaves your system faster than a traditional alcohol shot, making it potentially safer according to the company.

Taking the shot is simple. According to posters in the bar, "Breathe out completely. Breathe in alcohol mist from the balloon. Hold your breath for 10 seconds. Repeat. Do not exhale immediately."

Bars and pubs around the world are jumping on the craze, with pubs in the UK serving up the new way to get buzzed for around £5 a pop. In the States, bars in St. Pete Florida have been jumping on the craze.

However, not everyone is having fun. Andrew Misell, a director of Alcohol Change, shared that "Alcohol entering your lungs will go straight into your bloodstream and so you could become very drunk very quickly, which could put you at all kinds of risk - for example, from alcohol poisoning."

I think I'll just stick to pickle backs, Thanks.
