The ALDI grocery store chain has been expanding across the country, so chances are you've seen one in your neighborhood, or you will soon. We're big fans of ALDI - the exclusive ALDI brand products are some of our favorites, they have a good deli and quality fresh produce, plus the prices really are good. But sometimes, even at our local ALDI store, we find something that we don't like or that has something wrong with it. It happens. Which is why the ALDI return policy is a good thing to know.

According to aldi.us, about 90 percent of items in the store are their private label instead of the national brands you might find in other stores. They stand by their products with the Twice as Nice Guarantee.
What is the ALDI Return Policy?
The Twice as Nice Guarantee says that if you're not 100 percent satisfied with the quality of any ALDI-brand food product, the store will replace the product and refund your money. You read that right - the double guarantee means that you get your cash back and also get a replacement product.
If you want to return a non-food ALDI Find item, a national brand product or alcohol, you can ask for either a replacement or a refund. If you just don't like one of their food items, but it's otherwise fine, it's not covered by the Twice as Nice Guarantee, but you can ask for either a full refund or replacement from your local ALDI store manager.
There are a few caveats to the ALDI return policy. To get the Twice as Nice Guarantee refund policy, you must have the product packaging and any unused product. To receive your refund in the original form of payment, you must have your receipt when you return items. If you don't have an original receipt, the store offers an ALDI Merchandise Credit gift card equal to the current retail price of the returned item instead.
If you're returning a computer or electronics item, you must have the original proof of purchase and return the item within 90 days of the original purchase date. Plus, you must have all the contents and they to must be in the original product packaging.
The ALDI return policy says that you may not be able to return or replace alcohol; it depends on your state law.
The ALDI FAQ page also notes that if you have any related issues, such as you're charged the wrong price for an item, you should let the store manager on duty know.
We should also note that ALDI did temporarily suspend their return policy due to the coronavirus pandemic, but it appears that the original policy is back in place. If you have any questions, though, check with your local ALDI store.
