Ashley Monroe's new music video for the second single off of her 2018 record, Sparrow, takes viewers through a natural wonderland in Tennessee where Monroe confesses her desire for a "Wild Love."
Monroe co-wrote all 12 of the tracks on Sparrow, and worked alongside producer David Cobb. For "Wild Love," she collaborated with writers Waylon Payne and Brendan Benson to form a song that's brazenly sexy with a dreamy quality that washes over the listener within the first 15 seconds of the track.
"I want a wild, wild, wild love/ I need a stranger to pull my hair and call my name / Take me home and make me feel alive again / 'Round and 'round, oh help me God, it's coursin' through my veins / I don't wanna deny myself," Monroe sings as she explores her freedom in the Tennessee wilderness, dipping her toes into cool waters.

Monroe shared behind the scenes photos of the video shoot with People and spoke about the tune that sparked the nature-driven short film. "This song was inspired by my first trip to London," she explained. "The people walked around with such confidence. I felt so alive and inspired!!"
But instead of setting the video in a cityscape, Monroe opted for a connection to Mother Nature to evoke the power she felt upon becoming a mother and truly coming into her own sense of self. "I wanted the 'Wild Love' video to capture that sense of peace that comes with letting go and feeling good about who you are," Monroe said.
In addition to the release of her new music video, Monroe has more exciting news circulating. She's joined forces once again with Miranda Lambert and Angaleena Presley to reform the spirited supergroup, the Pistol Annies. The trio recently joined Lambert during the Bandwagon Tour to recapture their magic on stage, and they've confirmed that a new album is on the way.
