You won't find a more dedicated fan base than that of Taylor Swift's. But only one Swiftie can say that they've been there since Day 1: her younger brother, Austin Swift.

Being the sibling of a superstar of Taylor's caliber seems like a recipe for resentment. But Austin is a rare breed. He lives happily in the shadows, quietly carving his own path while publicly vocalizing his support for his big sis. Their sweet bond is a breath of fresh air in an industry rife with envy.
Don't believe us? Just read this caption he wrote alongside a picture of them as kids for her 29th birthday.
"It is a singularly beautiful thing to see magic right in front of your eyes. After nearly three decades of that happening time and time again, the effect hasn't worn off. I have always had a best friend, a role model, and a caring, tireless, dedicated champion in my corner. You have pulled me out of fires and carried me up mountains. The gift of getting to witness you become the wonderful person you are today has been the greatest privilege and honor of my life."
Obviously, poetic prose runs in the family. But what else is there to know about the elusive Austin Swift? Let's dive in.
He's an Actor and Producer
According to People, Austin studied film at the University of Notre Dame. He graduated in 2015 and landed his first small role in the Pierce Brosnan thriller "I.T." the following year. His other on-screen film credits include Ben Affleck's "Live by Night," Drake Bell's "Cover Versions," "We Summon the Darkness" and "Braking for Whales."
Though he hasn't acted since 2019, Austin has been flexing his producing muscles for some indie films as well as Taylor's music videos. He was nominated for his first ACM Award in 2022 alongside actress Blake Lively and his sister for her music video "I Bet You Think About Me (Taylor's Version)."
"I was so lucky to get to work with Blake, Taylor, and the entire amazing team behind the video for 'I Bet You Think About Me,'" he wrote on Instagram, adding, "and now I am so proud and thankful that we've been nominated for the ACM award for video of the year! (I am also thankful for the cake nom I had after wrap)."
He's Appeared in One of Her Music Videos
Austin has helped produce quite a few of Taylor's filmed projects, including the music video for "I Bet You Think About Me (Taylor's Version)" and "Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions." While he seems to prefer being off-camera, he has made at least one appearance on screen for his big sis. You can spot him as a super-cute kiddo in the old family footage featured in "Christmas Tree Farm."
He's Dating a Model
For anyone dreaming of being Taylor Swift's sister-in-law, we have bad news: Austin is currently off the market.
According to Yahoo!, the 31-year-old has been dating model Sydney Ness for over a year. The couple has yet to publicly announce their relationship, but plenty of evidence has been collected via paparazzi and sleuthing Swifties to suggest they're going strong.
Austin and Sydney were first spotted holding hands around New York City in September 2022. Then, in 2023, the model was spotted at Taylor's Fourth of July party. The pair have even supported the singer's boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. While attending their Christmas Day game, Austin actually dressed up as Santa Claus.
"He actually made me feel like a child," Kelce said on an episode of his podcast. "Because his gift to me was straight out of the bag."
He's Very Supportive of His Big Sis
Whether it's attending her concerts, walking the red carpet with her at award shows, or shouting out her achievements on social media, Austin has no problem showing his support for his big sister — especially when it comes to her work ethic.
He told People in 2016 that Taylor was dedicated to her craft long before she was selling out stadiums and breaking records. As a kid, he remembers watching her write songs every day, handing out demo CDs to labels, and performing in karaoke contests. Seeing what it took for Taylor to realize her dreams has only amplified the pride he feels for her.
"Having seen that example, how much goes in, how long it took," Austin said. "That's always going to be bedrock for who I am and who I want to be."
And Taylor has no problem returning the love. She skipped the MTV Europe Music Awards in 2014 to see Austin perform in a play and shared an equally sweet sentiment on Instagram in 2020 on National Siblings Day.
"My brother @austinkingsleyswift is one of my best pals, and I'm really proud of him because he's in a film that came out today called We Summon The Darkness (which he also co-produced)," the singer wrote. "Photo by Gigi. My facial expression by 3 glasses of wine."
