Listed at only $31,000 and built in 2016 by Tiny Home Builders, the house is made from reclaimed and natural materials. It has 200 square feet of living space.
The home is named "Cedar Haven," which is an appropriate moniker given that Austinites are subject to "cedar fever" from the prolific cedar trees whose pollen torments us for several months each year.
The tiny house hooks up to electrical and wastewater which allows long-term living. A shower and compost toilet make up the bathroom. There's even a carpeted staircase leading up to an upper sleeping loft with a queen sized bed.
The kitchen has a one-burner cooktop and a countertop oven as well as a sink and a mini refrigerator/freezer combo. A window AC unit makes it easy to weather those hot Texas summers.
Cedar Haven boasts ample natural lighting which makes the space seem even roomier.
