Blackberry Smoke and Aaron Lewis just announced a co-headlining trek this fall, dubbed the Sinners and Sanctified Tour.

The 18-date tour spans much of the Eastern U.S., as well as a few dates in Texas and the rust belt. Both Blackberry Smoke and Lewis released records last year.
Blackberry Smoke's album Like An Arrow topped the country and the Americana/Folk chart when they released it in October. The independent release also topped the UK's rock chart. In other words, they've got some serious buzz going. With a sturdy southern rock sound, Blackberry Smoke keeps churning out fan favorites regardless of their label situation. They previously occupied spots on both the Southern Ground and the Rounder Records roster.

As for Lewis, he's been on the road since his album Sinner topped the Billboard Top 200 albums chart. That's a huge feat for the rocker-turned-country solo act. But it's not something new to him as the frontman of Staind, one of the most successful hard rock bands of the 2000s.
Lewis also has a recent track record of speaking out heavily against modern country.
Both Blackberry Smoke and Lewis occupy plenty of love for rock n' roll, so the tour makes tons of sense. Up-and-coming Big Machine artist Alex Williams, whose major label debut will drop on Aug. 11, will open the shows.
