This Popular Blue Bell Holiday Flavor is Sold Out

No holiday table is complete without Blue Bell Ice Cream. Whether it's Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream tossed into your favorite punch bowl or Peppermint Bark in your Peppermint Pie, every Texan's favorite ice cream is basically part of the family. The seasonal flavor rotation is what makes Blue Bell such a fun brand to follow. However, Blue Bell might have underestimated just how much fans love their popular holiday flavors because we have some bad news. Blue Bell Christmas Cookies is officially sold out.

Fans began requesting information on the ice cream flavor on social media, stating they could no longer find the beloved carton on their grocery store shelves. No longer can you have chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, and sugar cookies in a sugar cookie ice cream with red sprinkles and a green icing swirl.

The cookie flavored ice cream was released on October 23 which might have been too early given the Christmas Cookies fever. However, on November 29, Blue Bell began taking to social media to directly contact fans with questions about the beloved Christmas Cookies ice cream.

This is how they revealed that not only was the Christmas Cookies flavor sold out, but it would not be available before Christmas. Unfortunately, that was it, y'all. It will not be available again until 2018, and it's not just Texas. It's sold out everywhere.

Here are some responses to curious fans via Facebook posts.

However, some enterprising ice cream fans are using this as an opportunity for their own half gallon. Like Aaron Cole.

While it's such a shame that Christmas Cookies is sold out, Blue Bell has assured us that Peppermint Bark Ice Cream and Peppermint Ice Cream are both in stores still. With Christmas Cookies off the shelves, though, it seems like there could be a mad rush for those remaining holiday flavors so I would stock up if you see them!

While we can only wonder what the next new flavor will be, I know I'll be sad to not have a big bowl of Christmas Cookies on Christmas morning. Hey, sometimes I eat ice cream for breakfast.
