The Good And The Bad On Burger King's Breakfast Menu

You wouldn't think that Burger King stands out amongst the breakfast greats such as Chick-Fil-A, McDonald's, Taco Bell and Wendy's. After all, it's hard to imagine anything coming even close to the perfectly crispy McDonald's hash browns or the scrumptious Taco Bell Breakfast Crunchwrap. However, the Burger King breakfast menu is not to be overlooked when searching for a quick, tasty bite to eat.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so it's important to make sure you're getting a good one. After all, nothing starts the day better than a delicious, filling meal before work. The BK breakfast menu is pretty solid and people do drive thru to get a taste of its many options. The fast food chain serves breakfast every morning, typically from 6 am to 10:30 am. However, hours vary by location, so it's best to confirm the hours with your local Burger King location. Nothing is worse than expecting a tasty meal to start your day, only to find it's no longer being served!

If you're wondering if the Burger King breakfast menu is worth your shot, look no further. We know that it can be hard to choose when looking at a new menu, and we're here to tell you the BK menu items to avoid and those to try for your next on-the-go breakfast. Here's a ranking of the Burger King breakfast menu items from the worst to the best.

10. Pancake Platter

I know you want to do it, but don't do it. The Burger King pancakes are as bland as they can get. They are better off going on the kids' meals where your kids can drench them in syrup.

9. Pancake & Sausage Platter

If you're really craving the pancakes, you might as well get it with the sausage side.

8. Ham, Egg & Cheese Biscuit

Of all the menu items on all the fast food breakfast menus, a buttermilk biscuit always stands out. No matter the ingredients placed in between, a biscuit is always comforting in the morning. After eating Burger King's though, not so much. "It tastes good because of the salt. Burger King's version has a full day's worth, thanks to biscuit soaked in it," the foodies at Eat This, Not That! said.

7. Hash Browns

Hash browns are a favorite breakfast item that most everyone orders. The fact that it is this far up the list almost hurts. But at Burger King, it's simply what it is... a side. Grab the Burger King nutrition page because it's possible these hash browns are literally the same hash browns you find in your grocery store's frozen aisle. If you end up still ordering these, we don't blame you. They're still crispy hash browns, after all!

6. Coffee

For some coffee is coffee. For others, coffee is supposed to be a decadent treat. For both of those types of people, coffee at Burger King might not be the option. It's colder than it is hot. One Reddit user even went as far as saying "...it tasted super acidic and gross even with lots of cream and sugar." Skip the hot coffee and try the iced coffee instead.

5. Double Sausage Sourdough Breakfast King

Do you really like the eggs enough to have them double stacked? Do you also really want sourdough bread stacked for breakfast? Enough said.

4. 2 For $5 Mix n' Match

If you're going to get multiple items, this is the best bargain deal. And if you don't know what to mix and match between, go for any of the croissant sandwiches. You will get the best bang for your buck. This is their version of a value meal that fast food restaurants market so often.

3. French Toast Sticks

Dessert at breakfast time is always a great idea, and the French toast sticks are pretty great. They're more than just being a side item, which they currently are not the Burger King menu.

2. Egg-normous Burrito

You really can't mess up a burrito when you have all the right fixings inside. For that reason, Burger King's breakfast burrito is almost at the top of our list. It's filled with eggs, bacon, hash browns and cheese. It's quite the combo.

1. Bacon and Sausage, Egg & Cheese Croissan'wich

It's the ultimate breakfast sandwich. The perfect combination of meat, egg, American cheese, and even a croissant, this soft held sandwich takes what other fast food chains split up into their entrees, and puts it into one! The Fully Loaded Croissan'wich also falls into this category.

What Time Does Burger King Stop Serving Breakfast?

You may be better off swinging by Burger King at lunchtime. Burger King stops seving breakfast at 10:30, which makes the breakfast hours pretty short in the limited time. Or better yet, arrive right at 10:30 and get a whopper and sausage biscuit at the same time if you aren't feeling like a Breakfast King.
