Country singer-songwriter Cam joined two American Idol contestants on stage during Monday night's show. Cam seemed to truly connect with both of her duet partners, and the resulting performances were wonderful to watch.

Cam and Shannon O'Hara sang "Burning House" from Cam's 2015 record, Untamed. The duet was surprisingly subtle for a televised singing show that often lends itself to belting. As judge Lionel Richie pointed out, the pair were very present and together in the moment, making for what judge Luke Bryan called a mesmerizing performance.

Cam also sang her new single "Diane" with contestant Effie Passero. The two start the song harmonizing in an explosion of sound that left judge Katy Perry's mouth agape. The song played out like a conversation between the two women. During the judging, it was revealed that Passero managed to learn the song in only 15 minutes.

Spoiler Alert: Despite the two amazing duets with Cam, neither Passero nor O'Hara made it to the next round. The recent cut brought down the number of American Idol contestants from 24 to 14. But with the ability to share the stage with a professional like Cam, both women should be on to a great career.
