The 2005 American Idol winner and country star broke her wrist and suffered scratches, cuts and bruises during the Nov. 10 incident. She has laid low at home since undergoing surgery.
On Jan. 19, Underwood shared an x-ray photo of her affected hand and new implant on Instagram, showing why she previously joked that she'll be setting off metal detectors in airports. The accompanying text praises Underwood's doctor and support staff before closing with an emphatic, "I'm good to go!"
Earlier this month, Underwood revealed that the accident caused facial injuries requiring 40 or 50 stitches. In a statement to her fan club, she warned that she might look different when she steps back in front of a camera.
Once Underwood returns to the public eye, she'll have a single to promote. "Champion," a new collaboration with Ludacris, has a music video premiering during the Super Bowl on Feb. 4. In addition, NBC plans to incorporate it into its coverage of this year's Winter Olympics. The song topped the iTunes charts just one day after its release.
No word yet if "Champion" previews Underwood's rumored next album.
