Texas-based singer-songwriter Carson McHone was raised on the honest storytelling of Guy Clark, Townes Van Zandt and Blaze Foley -- the perfect education for learning how to call out a cheater hellbent on breaking hearts. But not all done-me-wrong songs are slow, sad ballads as McHone proves with "Good Time Daddy Blues," a country-shuffle that chronicles the end of a relationship with confidence (and a healthy side of anger).

McHone performed the tune, which is featured on her new album Carousel, on the latest edition of Bruce Robison's music web series The Next Waltz. The performance video, which Wide Open Country is premiering today, was filmed at Robison's Lockhart, Texas studio, The Bunker and features a stacked band made up of Warren Hood, Marshall Hood, Nigel Fry, and Josh Blue.
