The cause of death for reality TV star Francine Beppu has been confirmed. As reported by People, she tragically passed away on February 17.
She was found dead in her Honolulu home, according to a report from the Honolulu Medical Examiner. The report went on to say there was a presence of amphetamines as well as alcohol in her system at the time of death. They ruled her death as a suicide.

The Reality Star Received Tributes from Family and Friends
After her tragic passing, her family released a statement to TMZ on February 23. "It is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of our beloved Francine 'Naoko' Beppu," they wrote. "The outpouring of care and concern from her friends and colleagues is a testament to the tremendous impact she had on everyone around her."
"We are deeply grateful to know how cherished she was and how brightly she will continue to shine through all who knew her." They added that they also appreciated "the many gestures of love for Francine". They also asked for "privacy and time" as they "navigated this unimaginable loss and honored her memory."
She Starred in Season 2 of 'The Real L Word'
Beppu was most well known for starring in season 2 of the reality TV show of The Real L World. The show explored the daily lives of lesbians in Los Angeles as they went about their daily lives.
The reality star went into detail in an interview in 2023 as to how she got her start in the industry. "My mom was an actor and a singer in Japan in the 1960s, and I'm a big TV and movie buff."
"I loved that energy and the lights, the musicals, the shows. Hawai'i is such a beautiful place. We are so blessed to live here, but I really wanted to live in a big city." So, she decided to move to Los Angeles, where she ended up getting cast in the reality show.
Alongside starring in The Real L World, Beppu also worked for Sony Electronics alongside Viacom.
