Southern rock and bluegrass pals plus Nashville stars and fellow Country Music Hall of Fame members appear on the 19-song Walmart exclusive (available on July 16 in stores and at walmart.com via Blue Hat Records and BFD/Audium Nashville). It's an extended version of Daniels' 2007 album Deuces, with six additional tracks.
Many of the added songs are even older, with "All Night Long" dating back to Montgomery Gentry's debut album, 1999's Tattoos & Scars, and Travis Tritt collaboration "Southern Boy" first appearing on the Charlie Daniels Band's 2002 album Redneck Fiddlin' Man.
"The process of putting this project together was a wonderful time of reflection and it became an overwhelming reminder of how great these tracks are," said David Corlew, Blue Hat Records president and Daniels' longtime manager, said in a press release. "The best of the best joined Charlie in sharing musical styles and great songs."
Surviving members of the Charlie Daniels Band will join Alabama, Trace Adkins and more at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Aug. 18 for the return of Daniels' long-running Volunteer Jam.
